Advocacy: UWEAL has gained the confidence of government and development partners who see us as a mouthpiece for business women in Uganda. We advocate for a business environment that is conducive for women’s entrepreneurship development.
Capacity Building: We provide business management training to members through the Enterprise Institute and other avenues.
Mentoring is geared towards motivating and guiding women entrepreneurs to persist in business in growing their businesses. We work with TechnoServe, TradeMark East Africa and other organizations.
Business counselling is provided to members who come seeking one-off guidance on how to start, sustain or grow business. We invite experienced members to provide a day of counselling sessions to fellow members.
We provide networking opportunities for women to meet and share experiences. We also encourage women to create markets for each other through personal contacts established during networking events. There is also an electronic avenue for networking which includes the UWEAL members’ whatsapp group, facebook page, emailing, twitter and telegram.
Breakfast meetings are usually two-hour events held to cultivate strong business and leadership skills among business and corporate women.
